The small diameter wheels and high-pressure tyres used on folding bikes tend to give a rougher ride than the larger wheels of city bikes.

To provide an unmatched comfort level on a folding bike, AMiiVA has incorporated into the design of the portable bike an adjustable suspension system to give a smoother ride without loosing any pedaling energy.

AMiiVA suspended United Rear Triangle (URT) offers a more technologically advanced solution than the vibration absorbing softail or the one which consists of placing an elastomer block on a single pivot triangle. The «URT» keeps the bottom bracket and rear axle directly connected at all times. The rear axle and bottom bracket move as one piece with zero chain growth, giving a constant chain line angle and length for less wear and tear.

Finally we have mounted on the URT the best rear shocks available on the market to prevent the so-called pedal bob effect which takes power out of a rider's pedal stoke. All the shocks used on our bikes are with variable spring preload and SAG, adjustable Main Pressure and Negative Pressure on the City model and with control of the rebound and lock-out on the Quartz model.
